Biography
Prof. Nahla El-Sayed El-Ashmawy is Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Currently, she is the Head of Biochemistry Department and Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Tanta University, Egypt. She has 64 publications in the field of study of biochemical mechanisms of action of drugs and natural products and evaluation of their biological activity. The scope of the research also involves the search for new noninvasive biomarkers for early detection and diagnosis of diseases. Stem cell research is conducted in her lab and is directed towards modulation of immune system and the use of adoptive cellular immunotherapy as a strategy for treatment.
